termination of the cleaning services provider

dear residents,

The JMC have decided to terminate the services of the cleaning company . The management has come out with a tender notice which has been displayed on the notice boards. Anyone who is interested or who knows of any reputable cleaning company can submit their tenders to the management office. The closing date is 4th April 2009.

We shall carry out a tender interview after the expiry date. Platinum is a vast place. It cannot be cleaned up with human workforce alone. They need some sophisticated equipments to work with. We need a professional company with strong resources to do it.

    Hope not to see the same faces even if with the new company. The hopelesness of new security company is a very good example.

    In any organization, the responsibility lies with the head. In the current company, there is no qualified head, no proper planning, no supervision and no equipment to work with. These are the reasons why they are terminated.

    As with the security company, I am not concerned with the day guards because there is an efficient officer, Mr Sina to supervise the guards. I am more concerned with the night guards. we have been on their tail to improve on their services. To tell you the truth, to find a really good security company is not a simple task. Even if you are willing to pay, you may fail too. One of the reasons is that the guards are not motivated to work due to their low pay. We are always monitoring them to perform their best. You cannot deny that they are much better off than the previous company in the aspect of enforcement.

  3. Hi Mr See and JMC committee members,

    Why there is no conclusion on whether the culprit has been found or not? Also, maybe someone who is familiar the whole background history of the break-in happened, can briefly explain on the whole incident and what should we beware of when we are not at home? These few days, been really worried that this incident will happen to me as I am living alone. So I do hope the committee can summarize the outcome from this break-in and give advice to all of us.

    the victim's house was broken into from noon to 4.00 in the evening. from the cctv, we managed to trace 3 culprits who enterd with an access card and came out with a bag which belonged to the owner. the picture was not very clear. it was already handed over to the police. so far, no arrest has been made.

    Well, how did the victim's house has been broken in? from window? from main door entrance of his condo? any further more elaboration? Hope we can get more elaboration so that we can beware of our house safety.

    they broke the ear-lobe to the main entrance door. something that you have to take note is the ear lobe. if your earlobe is thin, there is no point buying an expensive lock. all the grill doors are supplied with thin ear lobes. for preventive measure, you have to thicken the ear lobes and to make it more difficult for them to break the earlobes, buy a lock that fits tightly at the ear lobes.

    it is not the quality of the lock that prevents your house from being broken into.

    Thanks for your reply. May I know how to thicken the ear lobe since the grilled door already been installed? Besides, I suggest that if possible and the financial condition allows, we can install cctv in every floor of every block to monitor each unit's safety. This is my personal opinion.

    some ear lobes are thicker. you can get a welder to weld the thicker ones on the grill facing your house.
    installing cctv on every floor will not help. you are not able to monitor hundreds of tv frames on the monitor for all the blocks. besides that, it will be cost prohibitive.

    the best solution is to take preventive measures. these burglars are very smart nowadays. they study the place and the movement of the security guards before they act. they go for a fast job. they carry only a few equipments. maybe, a plyer, a spanner and a piece of metal rod.

    I have suggested that all incidents that happened in PV10, residents must be informed first hand by the JMC or management. When this does not happened, the residents will be kept in the dark of happenings within our compound. Then rumours will take place from mouth to mouth. A lot of speculations will fly around.

    Your piece of advise to Mr. Lee very useful to everyone. Residents has to know what happened, how did it happened, how to deter and were there any culprit caught. We don't like and don't want to be kept in the dark.

    Regarding the new cleaning service provider that will get the job later. Please do list down their scope of job that will take place.

    I don't think the residents will accept another below par company for the job.

  11. Please do something on the cleaner!!! I came across that many of the floor corridors are really really dirty....Even visitors coming to our house also saying it's DIRTY!!!!

    Please do something on this.....Embarassing if our relatives or friends comes & see this...No even my block, I see this also on other blocks...

  12. The dirt will be there for sure as my corridor also the same. We always will feel it, cause we are staying here & everyday we are walking through our corridor. The chairman Mr.See doesn't feel it as he's not staying here.....Thats why the ignorance of this....

    I have even complaint this to the management but still the same.

    I wish to highlights 2 things here...

    1) Lift cleaning services

    I have encounter a few times that the cleaner have block the lift at Level 1 or 2, just to clean to lift during morning (rush hour time 8am - 9am). Hence only 2 lift is working and it packed of passenger from the upper floor till LG. Other resident need to wait another 20 minutes for the lift to come back. Can the cleaner change the cleaning time for the morning session? After 9.30am?

    2) Door Closer At Carpark Lift Lobby (Block B)

    The door closer installed does not function well, the door was bang loudly. I do not know other block condition but for Block B, it very bad. I saw a resident go to adjust it so the door closed smoothly but it bang back after 2 or 3 days. Can the Management do something? Change the door closer to a better quality?
