  4. Dear See,

by end of May, we were having only RM36000 in our sinking fund but we purchased RM54000 water filter with installment. Excellent planning but why making purchase in such a haste? Any justification for the purchase?
    Mgt owes us an answer.

  5. Haste? I think it was done at the right time just as when people started to move in. I'm glad the crystal clear and clean water is running through our pipe now after experiencing dirty water from my previous place.

I have no qualms about purchasing the water filter but there are few questions about it.

1)Is the price of the water filter justified? If judging from Mr See's previous posting it is reasonable from what i see.

2)What is cost the to replace the filters? How long can a new replacement last?

  6. Crystal clear water? No way. I hv to agree with u when u compared it with the worst scenario u experienced which is much different from mine. I hv to clean my in-house water filter fortnightly. By right, RM54000 should get u a good filter that produces truly crystal-clear water with low particle count.

This is an expensive item. The term "haste" is used as :
    1. making the purchase when we do not hv sufficient standing sinking fund.
    2. big item purchase without consulting residents, exhausting our sinking fund along the way.
    3. failed to communication down in respect of the water filter spec, product & maintenance cost, to justify the purchase.
    4. raised more doubts than answers. Just like some the above-mentioned queries u raised, and expectin many more to surface.

  7. dear owner,

with the filter, you have to clean your filter fortnightly. maybe, without the filter, you have to clean your house filter weekly. this is an industrial filter. it will clear the murkiness in some other condos which are without the filter.
Mr raymond, you are entitled to your opinion, others also entitled to theirs. To me it is not a waste of fund and to you it may be. the filter has to be installed when the water tank is still new. if you were to look closely at the payment receipt, the developer made an advance payment of 10 K plus and not the whole amount. it was done with good intention. do we have to be suspicious of whatever things others do?

As for the filter, if you don't do it now, you have to do it later. It's better for the developer to do it. If we were to do it, it will never get done. If you think, you have been taken for a ride, do a market survey and find out what the real price is.

If Rm 54K is expensive, wait for a new painting job in let's say ten years time. you will get a shock of your life.

  8. Dear See,

fortnight in-house water cleaning is applied to both my current and former residence to which no external water filter is installed.

Those queries i raised are pertinent to transparency, accountability and prudency principles. Thousand aplologies if i hv inadvertently stepping on yr toes and hv u offended. But we all are entitled to our own opinions as u mentioned.

Many proposals made by residents for their well-being but may incur considerable cost are shot down by u on limited fund available as claimed in yr previous posts. Don't u think the RM54000 saved can help to pull them thru?

Why sticking our neck out to look at potential events that are 10 years and beyond if events at hand for the well-being of the residents are not satisfactorily addressed or neglected?

  9. 54k well spent for everyone to enjoy cleaner water from my opinion. It has already been spent so let's put the issue down and move on. Moreover, the decision of the purchase does not involve the JMC.

If you have proof the price has been overblown or there has been some hanky panky regarding the purchase, i reckon you report it to the police. Otherwise, just stop attacking on the issue and focus on how to maintain the filter and maximise its usage.

  10. whatever need to be said is said.
I hv succeeded in providing a spark to the issue at heart. Interested parties with capacity to conduct product/maintenance cost verification are encouraged to pursue it further.
